Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has continued his attacks on the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga.
Ngunyi has termed Raila as a too selfish leader to lead Kenya to the most coveted land flooded with milk and honey. In his weekly edition, ‘The Fifth Estate’, Ngunyi says that Raila does not have the qualities to be a Joshua.
He outlined some of Raila’s traits that disqualifies his savior tag. The analyst said selfishness, lack of a mentor and impatience are some of the factors that make Odinga’s Canaan utopic.
Ngunyi states that Joshua had a mentor in Moses who sharpened his leadership qualities and prepared him to lead Israelites into Canaan. However, he says that Raila lacks a mentor and he did not give the former President Mwai Kibaki time to administer this crucial duty.
According to Ngunyi, the inability to wait for the most opportune time to take power is another undoing that has deconstructed Raila. Mutahi says that Odinga wants power to satisfy his egocentric dreams as opposed to serving Kenya. He uses the first rein of President Kibaki as evidence of Odinga’s impatience.
He likened Raila Odinga to the spies sent to Canaan by Moses. Their feedback painted the Promised Land as a doomed land. He opines that Raila also does not believe in a prosperous Kenya.
