Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday night failed to secure Miguna Miguna's entry into the country.

Miguna arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 2.30 pm on Tuesday but was not allowed beyond the airport by the Immigration officials.

The official's demanded Miguna hand in his passport but the self-declared NRM leader refused.

The standoff between Miguna and Immigration officials persisted for hours before he was bundled into an Emirates Plane en route to Dubai.

Raila arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta few minutes after 11 PM but his presence did no save Miguna.

The former Prime Minister left the Airport dejected snubbing questions from news reporters.

The self-declared NRM leader later disembarked from the Emirates Plane.

Miguna accused the police and the government of infringing on his rights and ignoring court orders on his return.

Miguna was deported in February after presiding over Raila's controversial swearing in as the people's president on January 30.

His return was courtesy of court orders that declared his deportation illegal, null and void.

The fate of the Canadian based lawyer now remains unknown as his lawyers vow to go back to the courts.
