Odinga addressed journalist moment after closed door meeting with the IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati. He said that if the twelve irreducible minimums are met in time, they are willing to rejoin the race. “If proper consultations are done and our demands met, we will consider rejoining the race,” said Odinga. According to the start newspaper, the poll body will be holding a similar meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta next week on Monday before meeting both of them. In his invite, Chebukati had mentioned to the presidential candidate the need to have a consultative meeting before the poll in order to reach a common ground as the body is preparing for the poll. The former premier and his deputy withdrew from the presidential race.
