[Photo: Citizen Digital]Nasa flag bearer Raila Odinga did not opt to challenge the presidential poll results at the Supreme Court with an aim of winning.Political analyst and Lawyer John Kagucia has said that Raila is only interested in 'legitimising his poll rigging claims'."You know many people were wondering why Nasa, if it indeed has evidence that Raila was rigged out, why it was refusing to go to Supreme Court. By opting this path finally, Raila will have the opportunity to try and legitimise his narrative that he was indeed rigged out," Kagucia told a local TV station on Wednesday. He added: "Remember he started propagating the rigging narrative long way before elections were held. Now, even if his claims are rejected by the Supreme Court, somehow he will be able to come out here and continue with the same narrative now more strongly."Kagucia said that Nasa has little evidence to prove its claims, the reason it was already discrediting the Supreme Court before even filing the case."Nasa knows well that for the Supreme Court to nullify the presidential poll, they will have to present watertight evidence which they don't have. That's why they have to try as much as possible to show supporters how compromised the court is, in preparation to reject its verdict," he added. The analyst noted that this was the reason Nasa left 'the other options open because they know their chances are really slim at the Supreme Court'.
