Photo: Capital FM Political analyst Mark Wanyama, who is based in the USA argues that ODM leader Raila Odinga should not be NASA flag bearer.Recent reports have claimed that Raila, who has been unsuccessful in his three bids for the presidency is the front man for the NASA presidential ticket, with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate.Wanyama stated that Raila going for the presidency and failing again will water down his achievements in Kenyan politics."Raila Odinga should not be on top of NASA ticket if he wants to saty as a force to reckon with in terms of reforms," he said.The analyst said Odinga can only work best as a watchdog to ensure devolution is strengthened and also guiding the NASA troupes."We like his force for change and vision for strengthening devolution and also guiding the NASA troops," he said.The other reason Wanyama stated is the element of 'Railaphobia and Railamania' where he hypothises that the former Prime Minister is hated, loved and feared in equal measures, thus making it complicated when his name appears on the ballot."Those who like him are equal to those who fear him and that does not augur well in a General Election," he said. The NASA coalition is yet to announce their presidential candidate who will face-off with the incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 polls.
They have hinted at naming their preferred candidate after the Easter celebrations.
