ODM party leader Raila Odinga has clarified, why the party held a meeting in Coast region over the weekend.
This follows rumours that the meeting was supposed to include all National Super Alliance (Nasa) affiliate parties.
According to Odinga, the meeting would have included his partners in the Nasa coalition, but he was to resolve issues in his house (ODM), first, before inviting his partners.
He said Nasa was like a home, which ODM stood on, hence the need to rectify a home, before inviting guests, to a home.
"There was confusion, as it was said I was coming to Mombasa for a Nasa meeting. This made a lot of Nasa members, ready to take part in the meeting. However, the meeting was for ODM. it was to deliberate ODM's internal issues ,'' he said.
''This is because ODM is like a house; Nasa is like a home. A home with many wives. It is a polygamous home. When the sun rises, children get away from to out, and come back in the evening. That's how Nasa is. We are together,'' Raila clarified, Saturday.
He dismissed claims of disunity in the coalition, saying his partners, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi were very much united.
