Opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has called for the inclusion of Thirdway Alliance Party leader Ekuru Aukot in the list of candidates in the repeat poll scheduled for next month.
Speaking on Monday during a press briefing, the former Prime Minister noted that it was discrinatory for the electoral agency IEBC to exclude Aukot's name from the list of presidential aspirants.
"The gazette notice is accordingly discriminatory, unconstitutional and therefore invalid, null and void," he said.
Both IEBC and President Uhuru Kenyatta are opposed to the inclusion of Aukot in the race, arguing that the courts had already decided on who should vie.
The constitutional lawyer has since filed a petition with the Supreme Court, seeking for the admittance of his name on the ballot paper.
