Kalonzo, who was speaking during opposition’s vote hunt tour on the Coast, said that the NASA presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga will ascend to power because the alliance has more numbers than the current ruling party.
“There is no way Jubilee will beat NASA. We have 10 million votes to win the August election,” he said, as quoted by Standard.
The Ukambani political kingpin also faulted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for allegedly using state resources during their campaigns, which he termed as unconstitutional.
“The President and his deputy are busy using state resources, distributing title deeds and compensating IDPs in Kisii and other counties at this time of electioneering period. They are committing an election offense and IEBC should take action against them,” he added.
He was accompanied by Raila, Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi. On his part, Raila said that his government will implement the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Committee (TJRC) report if he wins the forthcoming general elections.
He also said that it is clear that the current leadership is not ready to implement the constitutions.
