Wamalwa says that by ousting Wetangula, the former Prime Minister has bid farewell to the Luhya community future support.

Speaking to journalists  in Nairobi on Tuesday, Wamalwa said that Luhya’s will not forgive Raila for humiliating their son.

He said that the former Prime Minister had a chance to 'save' Wetangula but he refused.

“The Luhya community will not trust Raila again and he has once again shot himself in the leg,” the Ford Kenya MP said as quoted by a  local  daily.

Wamalwa said that the Luhya community has been supporting Odinga for decades and it was wrong for him to allow his party members to humiliate the Bungoma senator.

Wamalwa asked the Luhya community to dust itself, remain focused and strategize for 2022.

Wetangula was ousted on Tuesday as the senate minority leader.

Nineteen NASA senators voted to have the Bungoma senator replaced by his Siaya counterpart James Orengo.

Wetangula’s ouster has opened fresh claims of mistrust and suspicions in the NASA coalition.

Last week, Raila said that he did not have knowledge of the ODM senators plan to oust Wetangula.

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka says that Wetangula’s ouster is likely to lead to  the fall NASA coalition.
