Former Likoni MP Masoud Mwahima has said that NASA leader Raila Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka do not have the courage to swear themselves in as the people’s president and deputy president respectively. The former ODM MP claimed that Raila is playing mind games with his supporters and the Jubilee government.Speaking at the Mombasa Law Courts on Tuesday, Mwahima stated that Raila knows the consequences of taking an oath of office illegally and cannot dare do it.Mwahima, who dumped Raila’s ODM for Jubilee before losing in the August 8 poll, claimed that NASA is using the swearing-in threat to seek President Uhuru Kenyatta's attention.“Raila will not take the oath as he says because the consequences of the action are dire and he knows it,” said Mwahima. The former lawmaker claimed that Raila wants Jubilee to dance to his tune as he pushes for electoral reforms.“Raila is a clever politician and cannot decide to tarnish his legacy and reputation on an illegal swearing in,” he said. The former Likoni MP asked President Kenyatta to ignore the ODM leader and focus on serving Kenyans. He said Raila has run out of political ideas and will give up if he is ignored. NASA leaders have maintained they will swear in Raila and Kalonzo with the event set for January 30 at Uhuru Park.Pressure is, however, mounting on the former Prime Minister to drop the plan and embrace dialogue with Jubilee.Raila and Kalonzo on their part have maintained that they are not afraid and are ready to die fighting for electoral justice.NASA has arranged a series of rallies across the country in preparations for the swearing-in ceremony which the government has termed as illegal and highly treasonous. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
