Miguna Miguna has been the talk in the news headlines in the kenyan media for the recent past. The passions of Miguna Miguna were however unexpected because of the Raila-Uhuru handshake that left both the National Super Alliance and Jubilee supporters wondering what next. Even after uniting with Uhuru, Raila didn't and has not stepped ahead to defend his NRM self-declared General.
First, Raila has never stood firm to defend Miguna in two circumstances, both before and after the Uhuru meeting. Despite the two belonging to one movement, NRM at one point in time, Miguna was deported outside Kenya because of his vocal motions to ouster the 'illegitimate' Jubilee government.
For Raila, Miguna is a political 'boy' who cannot be compared with 'Baba' on the basis of experience. Being a Nairobi gubernatorial race loser, Miguna Miguna is far lower to make decisions ahead and behalf of the NRM after declaring himself its general. His declarations tagging Raila Odinga on his Twitter account, possibly, were self-made proposals that he made himself to reinforce his position as the 'General'.
Either, Miguna Miguna is the author of the book that exposed Raila Odinga as a bad and corrupt kenyan leader. Thus, not a single minute could Raila grant him a single moment of trusting his advice because it would be very risky to the career and may destroy his political name. Infact, Raila didn't even comment or say anything about the 26th March 2018 planned ouster, that was declared by Miguna, the 'General' himself.
Possibly, the move by Raila to meet Uhuru did not involve Miguna Miguna, who only turned to be egocentric for fame in the NRM movement. Miguna's personality has been exposed as somebody who cannot conceal hostility and since he was against the Uhuru-Raila handshake, Raila would not be taking same sides with him no more.
Finally, the accusation of betrayal made by Miguna on Raila, is another big and possible reason why Raila cannot defend Miguna. The unexpected handshake that triggered numerous reactions were taken as. betrayal and ego by some NRM supporters who are now behind Miguna Miguna as their NRM leader, Raila excluded.
