Politicians backing the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have made their supporters believe that nothing positive can come out of National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Amolo Odinga, which is not true. These are the same leaders who have benefited from his sacrifice and commitment.
Raila has been in and out jail because of the great love he had for this nation. However, he has been made to appear intolerant, guerilla, stubborn and bullish among other attributes.
Raila played an immense role in the realization of the new constitution. Governors and senators among other leaders are beneficiaries of Raila and other liberation heroes’ sweat.
For those who were born the other day, Raila is among the leaders who fought for multi-party democracy. He stood strong against the misrule of former President Daniel Torotich Arap.
Nothing could stop Raila from speaking his mind. The NASA leader, who is taking a stab at the presidency for his fourth time, criticized the president whenever he went. This has not been different from the Jubilee’s regime.
The former prime minister has unearthed some of the mega scandals in this nation. Kenya would be a different nation if Raila was not there.
