Despite indicating that he had pulled out of the October 26 presidential election, NASA leader Raila Odinga will still be on the ballot.
This is according to IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.
Chebukati said that even though Raila declared publicly that he would not be on the ballot during the October 26 repeat presidential election, his office had not yet received any formal communication to that effect.
"We have not received any other communication from him so we are proceeding with all plans as scheduled,” said Chebukati.
IEBC said that Raila must first sign the Form 24A to officially show that he will not take part in the polls.
This, Chebukati said, leaves the commission with no option but to put him on the ballot.
"Our mandate is on elections and we are ready in all areas. There are institutions to ensure we do our work smoothly," he added.
