Sources close to People’s president Raila Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka confirm that he together with NASA principals will delay arrival at Uhuru park by 1 hour to allow thousands of Kenyans who are walking to Uhuru park to attend the swearing ceremony after Police withdraw from the grounds paving way for a peaceful event.
Elsewhere the military and GSU police have taken charge at Statehouse to swing into action in case of any eventuality after swearing in.As PM Raila indicated the event will be peaceful and there is no reason for Uhuru to the panic of getting into paranoia.
It is also confirmed that the American embassy was firm that the government should desist from using excessive force or police to disrupt the event.
The warnings from the Western government is the reason why Uhuru called off the earlier planned police action.
