Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto’s rise in the political arena is giving Deputy President William Ruto sleepless nights.

The other day, Ruto was just a governor like any other, but today he is one of the co-principals in the National Super Alliance(NASA).

Governor Ruto’s move to join the opposition is likely to shift the political situation in 2022.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured DP Ruto of his support to rise to power after he completes his second term, which is not guaranteed.

The Kikuyu community supporting a Kalenjin for Presidency is still a topic of discussion. If Uhuru’s community snubs DP Ruto to back one of their own, then Governor Ruto will smile all the way to his village assuming that Jubilee retains power in August.

DP Ruto will have to re-strategize about his next political move, which will not be easy. Governor Ruto has been very vocal when it comes to matters of national interest.

The governor has won the hearts of many residents in his backyard as well as other parts of the county for his relentless fight corruption and other vices that have been dragging this nation behind.

The county boss, who is also the leader of Chama Cha Mashinani, is likely to join the presidential race in 2022 if the current political situation is anything to go by.
