There is a high possibility that the Deputy President of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto will never be the president of Kenya. Here are the reasons which might prove that 2017-2022 might be the year of Ruto’s downfall in politics;
From the historical perspective, out of 9 vice presidents who served in Kenya since independence, only two, namely Mwai Kibaki and Daniel arap Moi became the presidents of Kenya.
The rest; Joseph Murumbi (1965-1966), Josephat Karanja (1988-1989), George Saitoti (1999-2002), Musalia Mudavadi (2002-2002), Michael Kijana Wamalwa (2003-2003), Moody Awori (2003-2008) and Kalonzo Musyoka (2008-2013) never became presidents despite their aspirations.
Using the power of probability, it’s true that Ruto will reach political apex and start political downfall before 2022.
Ruto ambitions of being the next Kenyan President rely heavily on Mt. Kenya support.
It is sad to know that Mt Kenya support is not guaranteed.
We have head sections of leaders such as former Kiambu governor William Kabogo declaring in public that Ruto should not expect Mt. Kenya votes in 2022.
The other time, Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko claimed that leaders from Mt Kenya are holding night meetings trying to establish who will be the President of Kenya comes 2022.
Therefore, in my opinion, it will be by a miracle that Ruto will ever become the President of Kenya.
