Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has yet again launched a scathing attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta, claiming that he failed in his first day in office.
Rutto, a fierce critic of Jubilee administration adds that Jubilee leadership has failed to honour its manifesto on issues relating to devolution.
“I do not have personal differences with Kenyatta or his administration. My problem lies with implementation of key issues in Jubilee manifesto,” he said on Sunday.
The CCM leader added: “I was among the team that drafted the constitution and even manifesto of Jubilee. I must say that the president has not honoured our promise of giving devolved governments at least 40 percent of revenue.”
He also said the president messed by creating Ministry of Devolution which he claims has sabotaged operations of county governments.
“He is a failure because creation of devolution government killed everything. He has retained the imperial presidency,” he added.
