Nominated Senator Emma Mbura has joined Maendeleo Chap Chap party after defecting from the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee Party.Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua was in Mombasa on Tuesday afternoon to officially receive Mbura to his Chap Chap party.Mbura, who is eyeing the Rabai parliamentary seat, claimed that Jubilee will not hold free and fair nominations. She further accused the JP leadership of frustrating her as well as preferring weaker candidates."I have decided to join Maendeleo Chap Chap because that is where my supporters have told me to go," she told the Star on Tuesday."Jubilee wanted to endorse former JAP chair Nelson Dzuya and politician Amiri Mwinyi but both withdrew from the race."She alleged that the party’s leadership has now picked an ODM ward representative to contest for the seat."They now want Anthony Kenga - an ODM MCA - to vie against me. This is a clear indication that they would have even stolen the ticket," she said. The Rabai seat is currently held by William Kamoti.
