Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has welcomed Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze's outburst over the Raila - Kalonzo presidential ticket.

In an address to the media, the Wiper Party Secretary General welcomed Nyenze's remarks, saying the concerns shows democracy within the Opposition alliance.

“One or two divergent opinions that are not satisfied with a decision is not evidence of cracks. It is often evidence of democracy," he noted.

“Divergence is not division. Divergence is actually a healthy evidence of democracy," he added.

NASA unveiled ODM Party leader Raila Odinga as its presidential candidate during the August polls last week Thursday.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is expected to deputize Mr Odinga in the power sharing deal, an arrangement that Nyenze has vehemently opposed, claiming that the Kamba community got a raw deal.

"In my own opinion, the Kamba nation got a raw deal and we do not want anybody to take Kamba's for a ride," a visibly dissatisfied Nyenze said during a press briefing last Friday.
