The new law has a direct effect on the business Adhiambo has been earning from, and the socialite also risks going to jail if she continues with her nude online escapades.

According to the law, anyone found guilty of publishing or sharing pornographic content will have to pay a Sh300,000 fine or go to jail for 30 years.

The Bill was signed into law on Tuesday and sends a warning to Kenyans fond of sharing porn content on social media especially on Facebook pages with huge followings.

Adhiambo shot to the limelight last year after a local news agency published her story detailing how she earns money from the online nude trade.

She said she used to earn over Sh10,000 in a day until the local daily ran the story, "ruining her business".

The socialite does not regret doing the business and has asked her critics to shut up because she is only earning a living.

"As you people shout out there that I am mad, I continue to make money. I am very much okay and I love what I am doing," she said in an interview with Standard on Friday.

She began the business by selling nude photos online and she would charge Sh200 for every photo she sent to her clients.
