The Supreme Court of the country could after all rule against President Uhuru Kenyatta, a move that will subject the country to fresh elections, says Gideon Mamboleo.

For the next two days, counsels from both petitioners and respondents will seek to convince seven judges on the merits of their cases.

And following the decision by the court to uphold a number of applications by the petitioner Raila Odinga, the ruling may favour opposition team.

“A number of affidavits by the opposition were admitted by the court unlike in 2013 where they were thrown out because of technicalities,” he says.

He further says:”I also see a scenario where scrutiny of Forms 34A and 34B will be admitted by the court against Uhuru’s wishes. Also, IEBC could be compelled to allow NASA access their servers.”

In an application by James Orengo that seeks to have access to a number of forms and servers, Judges are expected to make a ruling on Monday morning.

And Mamboleo says the court could grant either of the requests or, all of them, a move that will increase opposition’s chances of arguing their case.
