Nothing has ever stopped Raila Odinga from getting what he wants, except IEBC and this time, he wants it disbanded.

For a long time since 1982, Raila has been in the limelight obviously for “good” reasons. He struggled against one-party dictatorship, then struggle saw him detained twice (from 1982-1988 and 1989-1991) and he holds the record of being Kenya's longest-serving detainee.

That is not what I want to discuss here, you know it all (maybe better than I do). The point is, what he struggled for was eventually realised but unfortunately he hasn’t been a direct beneficiary of those fruits as he may have thought.

The good thing is that he succeeded. This gives him a record of success of events except, of course, his presidential ambitions.

In 2002, he strongly rallied behind Mwai Kibaki the results were awesome! However, their coalition did not last for long. They went apart, Raila started all over again.

Raila has a big impact on the politics of this country and a lot of young politicians are learning a lot from him. A few months back, Raila and his team demanded than the then CS for Devolution Anne Waiguru to step down over allegations of corruption in the ministry of Devolution.

As stubborn as she had appeared at the beginning, she eventually resigned. He also demanded that President Uhuru reconstitutes his cabinet towards the end of last year which he did!

At this point in time, Raila is likely to carry the day, eventually, in his quest to disband IEBC.

He has the strength and showed the consistency that has proved that he will not rest until his quest is considered. As stubborn as Isaak Hassan may appear to be, he may not be able to withstand the forces of Raila.
