Nairobians in over 10 areas in the city have been warned to use water sparingly because the commodity will be in short supply for two days.
In a statement from Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company. Nairobians have been cautioned to use water well from Tuesday 9, (6 am) to Wednesday 10, August.
According to NWSC Managing Director Philip Gichuki, the shortage of water in the areas is to facilitate the relocation of water pipelines along Outer Ring road to give way for the expansion of the road.
The affected areas include:
Kariobangi South and North
Buruburu Estate Phase I-V
Umoja I,II and Innercore
Entire Donholm
Tassia
Nyayo Embakasi
Part of Industrial Area – along Nanyuki and Lunga Lunga Road
Avenue Park I & II
Parts of Thika Road – Mathare 4 area and Survey.
The company has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
