Only three members of Parliament in Mombasa County would be re-elected if elections were held today, a new survey has shown.An Infotrak Harris poll conducted between Friday and Sunday revealed that only Changamwe MP Omar Mwinyi, Rashid Bedzimba of Kisauni and Shariff Nasir (Mvita) would go back to the august House.Mwinyi, the pollster said, would garner 64.2 percent while Nasir's rating was placed at 63.3 percent.Bedzimba would get 55.3 percent according to Infotrak MD Angela Ambitho, the Star added.Other MPs in the region are Likoni's Masoudi Mwahima with a rating of 38.9 percent and Badi Twalib (Jomvu) at 31.6 per cent who must up their game if they want to go back to parliament.Nyali MP Hezron Awiti has declared his interest in the county governorship.With regards to the woman representative seat, ODM’s Mishi Mboko would beat her closest rival Hazel Katana with 12.6 per cent saying they would reelect her. Katana would score 1.9 per cent.Others eying the position are Mama Ashuu (1.5 percent) who is followed by Sadaf Deen at 1.3 percent, Miraj Abdulahi and Afya Rama both have 0.9 percent while Saida Dumila has 0.5 per cent.Ambitho said 80.3 per cent of the voters remain undecided on the woman rep seat.The survey involved 1, 000 residents and covered all six sub-counties and 30 wards.
