Thika United’s match against Ushuru FC that was scheduled for December 2 with the return leg on December 6 has been postponed.

The clash, a promotion battle, will now be played on December 10 and 13.

The decision was arrived on after a consultative meeting between Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and Kenyan Premier League Limited.

According to Thika head coach Nicholas Muyoti, the will only resume camp if advised so by the Kenya Premier League.

“We act as the management directs after KPL’s decision. Players thought the season was over and had shifted minds to 2018 season, but if we have to clear another hurdle in Ushuru then we will fight,” the former Harambee Stars captain said at the time as quoted by the Citizen.

Ushuru missed an automatic promotion spot to the KPL top flight after finishing third in the National League, while Thika were 16th in the just concluded KPL season.
