The National Super Alliance in a press conference Friday announced the formation of a steering committee that will coordinate the activities of the People's Assemblies across the country.David Ndii was named as the person who would head that six-man strong steering committee; an uphill task that requires tact and strategy.The choice of Dr. Ndii was quite deliberate which brings the question; why was he chosen and not anyone else?For someone who has keenly observed the man, that choice was quite obvious.Dr. Ndii is the highly educated guy who boasts strong academic credentials: he is an economist by training and a socio-political scholar by heart.Reading his work, one gets the sense that he knows his stuff and has a finger on the pulse of the country.He has written extensively on socio-political issues in Kenya. Ndii, therefore, brings a keen understanding of developments in the country and would offer great insights on how to press forward the People's Assembly idea.
