The recent political tension in the NASA coalition that culminated in the bid to oust Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula as Senate Minority leader by ODM-allied Senators may leave many political casualties.
Wetangula vowed to stay put even as his fate remains hanging on balance in the Senate leadership. However, should the bitter divorce see the light of the day, Kisumu West MP Olago Oluoch may become the next victim.
Two times elected on Moses Wetangula-led Ford Kenya Party ticket, the three-term Olago defied all odds to be elected MP, first in 2013 and then in 2017. However, the latest developments will put him in an awkward political position going into 2022.
To many, Olago was elected on a Ford Kenya ticket in an ODM dominated region because the party was supporting Raila Odinga's Presidential bid, first as CORD coalition, and later as NASA in 2017 poll.
So what will become of the University of Nairobi-trained Lawyer who has been a dominant force in Kisumu politics since 2007?
