Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has said that Jubilee party will prosecute three returning officers in Mombasa during the August general elections. According to Kuria, the three played an immense role in the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s election outcome by the Supreme Court.

Kuria, who is not new to controversy, said that the prosecution of the three will start upon the passing of Election Laws (Amendments) Bill, which has attracted mixed reactions from different factions.

The three are Luciana Swanzua (Likoni), Aboud Mohammed (Kisauni) and Mwanajuma Ali (Nyali).

Kuria said that the returning officers' failure to sign the form 34B is among the reasons why President Uhuru was denied victory following the last general elections, adding that they should be arrested.

"We want the three arrested and jailed immediately," Kuria, as quoted by Star.

The three constituencies in question were cited on several accounts during the hearing of the opposition’s case against Jubilee.

Former Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba reiterated Kuria’s claims saying that the three must be prosecuted for the offenses they committed on the election date. The lawmaker argued that the three willingly left the forms unsigned because of their ill motives.

"Those presiding officers and returning officers who willingly tampered with the voting process will be jailed for five years," he said.
