The British High Commissioner (HC) Nick Hailey is set to pay a courtesy call on Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o later today.
HC Hailey’s meeting with Governor Nyong’o comes a day after thirteen governors among other key development players met in Kakamega.
The County Chiefs had come together to sign the Lake Region Economic Block (LREB) treaty where he was also present.
His visit is a gesture of good tidings as the two are set to discuss on how the county can benefit from European partnerships especially in business investments.
The HC will also inspect the progress of various projects instituted in the county among them the Kisumu based East African Breweries Limited (EABL) which is still under refurbishment and is envisaged to open its door for business in July this year.
Sources from the communication office revealed that the HC will also visit the Kisumu County Assembly where he will have a chat with the members.
The Governor will also host Nyakach Girls Soccer team that trounced the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom competition for lunch where he will also present them with their trophy.
