The fact that the National Super Alliance (NASA) decided to use the boardroom method in selecting its flag bearer suggests that Wiper Party leader is likely to be the man of the day.
Using the delegates or popular method would have denied Kalonzo the chance to beat Coalition for Reforms and Democracy ( Cord) Leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
In other words, the popular system is likely to have produced another candidate for the seat.
By opting for the negotiations rather than delegates, the alliance is likely to have been aiming at avoiding Raila’s allies from influencing their outcome. Kalonzo has maintained that he is the right man to change the lives of Kenyans. The former vice president has been very vocal when it comes to matters of national interest. He has won several awards because of his role in the fight to liberate Kenya from poor leadership. Many leaders across the nation and outside have lauded him for his honesty and incorruptible character.Unlike other leaders in the alliance with soiled past, Kalonzo is clean man. The Ukambani political kingpin has said that he will unite all the tribes if he ascends to power in August.
