Outgoing Lamu Woman Representative Shakilla Abdalla now wants the IEBC to call for a repeat election saying the August 8 poll was not free and fair and credible.
Abdalla, who was accompanied by outgoing Governor Issa Timamy, said the polls were manipulated in favour of their opponents. The two who spoke in Lamu on Tuesday termed their opponents win as not genuine.Abdalla was beaten by Ruewida Obo of Jubilee Party, while Timamy was defeated by Fahim Twaha also a JP candidate. The Wiper deputy party leader said her votes were stolen after fake party agents were installed. However, Timamy and Abdalla claim that election officials seemed to work with their rivals thus giving them an easy win.On his part, the outgoing county boss claimed the IEBC officials played tricks to ensure Twaha was declared the winner in a faulty process.
