The Jomo Kenyatta Foundation Publishers has called upon scholars in the country to base their academic findings and research in Uasin Gishu County citing tramendous changes witnessed in the area in the recent past.
Speaking as they paid a courtesy call to the County Executive kCEC) in charge of ICT, Trade and Industrialization Dr. Emily Kogos, the publishers said that Uasin Gishu has done a lot that qualifies to be published on the academic materials to be used in schools and research projects basing on the development aspects.
They further admitted that the County's development is so conspicuous especially in the infrastractural and trading activities which has seen the coming in of various investors.
This comes at a time the County's capital Eldoret is awaiting to be given a city status which will improve further the visibility of the devolved unit.
On her part, Dr. Kogos said that the county is putting more efforts in improving the livelihood of its people through various avenues which will make it reknowned and feature in both the local and international levels.
