Amani National Congress (ANC) Leader Musalia Mudavadi has launched a scathing attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta for criticizing the opposition over nominations.
According to Mudavadi, Uhuru fears nominations yet he is quick to fault the opposition over the same.
The former deputy President asked the head of State to keep off opposition affairs since he had feared to face him before the last general elections. "For a man who chose to call me 'mandimoni' rather than face me at the nomination, President Uhuru Kenyatta should be the last person to talk about nominations.
It is known that throughout his political career, Uhuru has never participated in any competitive party primary nominating exercise; he has had the privilege of being appointed," said Mudavadi, as quoted by tuko.co.ke.
Earlier on, President Kenyatta has watered down the issuance of direct tickets to over 800 Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidates including Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero and his Mombasa Counterpart Ali Hassan Joho.
The head of state rubbished Former Prime Minister move to issue the leaders with direct tickets to his cronies. Runyenjes MP Cecil Mbarire has also expressed concern over the direct nominations saying that women have been sidelined within ODM.
