 President Uhuru Kenyatta has replaced Jubilee Party Acting secretary-general Veronica Maina in preparation for the August polls.  

Jubilee Party Head of Secretariat Raphael Tuju has been picked the party's secretary general. 

He replaces Maina, who will now deputise him. She served in an Acting capacity, following her appointment when the party was formed, late 2016. 

Speaking after the changes, Tuesday, Party leaders president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, said the changes were as per the party's Constitution. 

Jubilee Party National Elections Board (NEB) also appointed Andrew Musangi, as the NEB head.  

Musangi replaces Pwoka Wanyonyi, after he was sacked, following raised integrity questions by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK). 

Muchai Lumatete, who was earlier picked to replace Wanyonyi, but will now chair the party's Disciplinary Committee. 

Kenyatta and Ruto further picked Faith Waigwa as the chairperson of the party's Appeals tribunal.
