It was all gloomy for mourners at the burial of son to Funyula MP Paul Otuma on Saturday after President Uhuru Kenyatta canceled his plans to attend the meeting last minute.
On Friday through State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu Uhuru was to attend the burial.
The last-minute cancellation by President Uhuru has been seen by political analysts that he may have kept off for fear of facing ODM leader Raila Odinga at the same event.
Odinga who was also expected canceled last minute.
The only high ranking politician at the burial was Amani Coalition leader Musalia Mudavadi. Other speculations have stated that Uhuru and Raila failed to turn up due to the heavy downpour.
The last time Raila and Uhuru shared a podium was at the late Ole Ntimama's burial, where a bitter exchange of words between the two ensued.
