President Uhuru Kenyatta President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto deserve the Kamba votes because they have initiated many projects to improve their livelihoods of the community since they took over power, Kitui South MP Rachael Nyamai has said.
According to the lawmaker, the duo has been very committed to ensuring that Kambas realize the fruits of liberation just like other communities. She was speaking at Ikutha Market where she drummed up support for the two leaders. The legislator also said that the projects are scattered across all Ukambani counties including Machakos, Kitui and Makueni.
“We have witnessed many development projects initiated by Jubilee in the three counties of Machakos, Kitui and Makueni unlike the previous regimes, so any claim that the region is getting a raw deal is untrue,” said Ms Nyamai, as quoted by Nation.
Nyamai also asked Former lands Minister and now governor Charity Ngilu to desist from launching attack after attack against the ruling party. She also acknowledged that Ngilu mentored her politically to where she is.
“Madam Ngilu nurtured me politically and she is the one who took me to Jubilee in 2013. I don’t know why she broke ranks with my bosses and I cannot be party to whatever disagreement she has with them,” said Ms Nyamai.
