Kimaiyo who spoke at a public meeting said that his sacking was propagated by the fact that he was a leader with integrity and was therefore not compromised.

"When I Joined KAA, I stopped corruption. Then they decided that I was not a 'suitable' chairman because I did not entertain bribes," said Kimaiyo.

Kimaiyo said being a principled man, many felt uncomfortable under his leadership given the values he upheld.

The former police boss started working at KAA on December 31, 2014. However, his leadership at KAA was marred with controversy with many accusing him of misappropriating funds and being a dictator.

His appointment was revoked on June 24, replacing him with former Chief of defense forces Julius Karangi.
