President Uhuru Kenyatta will have tough choices to make in the next few days as he commences his second term, says Gideon Mamboleo.

With elections cycle now settled, Uhuru will be fighting to win hearts of many Kenyans, majority who supports opposition leader Raila Odinga.

“Most people never voted for him and they have sworn allegiance to Raila. This makes the president uncomfortable due to illegitimacy aspect,” he says.

Further, Mamboleo says Uhuru will find it tough to cater for interest of his Deputy William Ruto and Baringo senator Gideon Moi, both who played an integral role in his reelection.

Prior to Supreme Court ruling, Uhuru paid a courtesy call to Gideon’s father, Daniel Moi who is believed to be his political mentor.

“Gideon and Ruto factor will be also an acid test. He will have to make tough choices to satisfy both in his appointments.”

Also, back at his Mt. Kenya home, Uhuru will have a major leadership test with sources saying some leaders are pushing for appointment of Ex-Kiambu Governor William Kabogo to cabinet.

In one of its publication, the Sunday Nation reported that many leaders prefer Kabogo to Devolution Cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri.
