New communications from President Uhuru Kenyatta's campaign team may have as well reignited hopes that the Head of State will feature on Monday televised presidential debate.
According to Uhuru's itinerary, he was expected to be on a campaign tour of Marsabit and Samburu counties but the event has been canceled.
Despite the fact that Head of State has not confirmed his attendance, the move to cancel the campaigns might send glimmers of hope that he will be in attendance in the evening debate.
The Jubilee and Nasa flag-bearers are scheduled to take to the stage at 8 pm live from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).
The presence of Uhuru will automatically mean that NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga will be in attendance since he said he will only grace the event if Uhuru shows up.
