NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula says NASA leader Raila Odinga did not inform him and other two co-principals, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka about his meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday.
The Ford-Kenya party leader said he learned about the meeting through the media, adding that he alongside Mudavadi, and Musyoka would seek an explanation from Odinga why he chose to meet Kenyatta without consulting them.
He applauded the meeting, saying it showed a positive step between the opposition and government over calls for dialogue to calm the country's political temperatures.
“That Raila and Uhuru have met, is laudable. It breaks the ice, it brings down the impasse that we have been having. I and my colleagues from NASA will get an explanation from Raila on why he took the step he took and why he had a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta," Wetangula told the press in Bungoma shortly after the meeting at Harambee House, Nairobi.
Wetangula who is also the Bungoma Senator snd Senate Minority Leader indicated political leaders from both NASA coalition and Jubilee Party should speak the same language of dialogue and positive change.
“We have all been demanding that we want the two sides to cross the river, both Jubilee and NASA. This will lower the temperature of politics in the country, and embrace dialogue as a process and means of resolving our differences in Kenya."
