A top lawyer is not comfortable having opposition leader Raila Odinga work closer to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ahmednasir Abdullahi said on Friday that Raila cannot be trusted as he has the capacity to destabilize the Jubilee administration from within as the country moves closer to holding another election in 2022.
Raila met Uhuru on March 9 at the commander in chief's office at Harambee House where the two, during an address to the nation, said despite their political differences, they had united for the same bringing Kenyans together.
"Hon Raila is most lethal when he agrees to play second fiddle," qAhmednasir said in Tweet that has elicited sharp reactions.
"The handshake gave him that priceless position."
Uhuru and Raila are yet to kick off a countrywide tour they said will affirm their resolve to bury their political rivalry and unite Kenyans.
There have been mixed reactions from across the political divide following the famous Harambee House 'golden handshake'.
Whereas some politicians and political analysts claim it the handshake came in good faith, others allege it has a hidden agenda, and may signify the two top leaders are out to lock Deputy President William Ruto from the presidency in 2022.
Today, Kenyans are still clueless about details of the Uhuru-Raila meeting that came before the former prime minister met former presidents Daniel Arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki.
