National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has maintained that he will be sworn in as the 5th president of country.

This comes after NASA's initial calls for a fresh presidential election within 90 days was not considered. In their (NASA) view, the October 26 election was a sham and it did not represent the will of the people.

However, the country witnessed the swearing in of a president on November 28 with President Uhuru Kenyatta getting another term to implement his manifesto to the people.

Firstly however, the president is tasked with bridging the political rifts in the country which have led to the loss of lives and property and also disrupting the normal socio-economic activities.

The country is sharply divided on which party they are affiliated to, majorly either between Jubilee or NASA outfits.

On his inauguration speech, President Kenyatta promised to work with everybody and help transform the country. This was a good start for the country but Raila's fresh demands proves to impede progress and growth.

Raila and Uhuru should dialogue and help end the political stalemate in the country. The dialogue should be geared towards solving electoral disputes which always threatens peace and stability of the country.
