Raila, who spoke during an exclusive interview with Nation, said that Jubilee leadership has failed to keep its pre-election promises, adding that the electorate is not ready to re-elect them when that time comes. He also said that the areas that backed the opposition have remained unshaken while Jubilee strongholds including Rift Valley and Central Kenya are slowly weakening as the election date draws nearer.“When you look at the lay of the land, the country has rebelled against Jubilee. The areas that voted Cord in 2013 have remained intact and more determined to vote against Jubilee again while Jubilee zones have fractured especially in the Rift Valley,” he said, as quoted by Nation. The opposition also said that even central Kenya residents are not happy with the leadership.“Even in Central Kenya, people are asking hard questions of the Uhuru regime and talking of joining hands with the rest of the country in stopping Jubilee,” he said.
The former prime minister also defended the parallel tallying system as we head to the polls.
