Victor Wanyama, the Kenyan and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is on holiday in Zanzibar Island as the world prepares for the start of the World Cup in Russia.
His international success in football has earned him praise not only in Kenya but also in other countries, with Tanzanians in particular one of his greatest fans.
The last time he was in Tanzania, in June 2017, he got a street in Dar-es-Salaam city named after him; “V. Wanyama Street.”.
He has been attracted by the beautiful scenery on the Island and further revealed his plans to one day move to the Island permanently.
“Ni mahali naweza penda kuishi, ni mahali imetulia, mahali mzuri sana,” said the Kenya and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Victor Wanyama.
The Kenyan star reportedly earns a monthly salary of over Sh30 million, without endorsements and other deals. With all these money, he has the ability to buy any property he wants on Zanzibar Island.
