When former Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru announced that she was joining the political arena many thought that her dreams were invalid, little did they know that one day she will become the woman to watch.
Waiguru had already garnered 102, 927 against the incumbent Joseph Ndathi’s 19,078 with only two polling stations left during Kirinyaga Jubilee nominations.
The huge margin between her and Ndathi shows that she is not a pushover in the political arena, which is dominated by men.
Waiguru has stood strong amidst claims that she engineered the loss of public funds at the National Youth Service (NYS).
The gubernatorial aspirant has been abused and cursed by several leaders for being allegedly being corrupt little but no one thought that the people of her county love this much.
As critics and analysts continue to claim that she is a state project, Waiguru is likely to be smiling all the way to the county’s top seat.
The aspirant has been very vocal when it comes to matters of national interests. She has been launching attack after attack against the current governor for failing to honor pre-election pledges.
Waiguru has assured that residents of this part of the nation that she will transform the region in terms of development. Waiguru is going to face Narc Kenya Martha Karua when that time comes.
