Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti is a no nonsense politician.
Ndeti, who contested for Machakos gubernatorial seat on August 8, 2017, on a Wiper Party ticket, gave Governor Alfred Mutua a run for his money.
The recent nullification of Mutua’s win by the appellate court is a clear indicator that Ndeti is a force to reckon not only in Ukambani region but the entire nation.
Known for the phrase 'Yaliyo Ndwele Sipite', Ndeti has said she is ready to face Mutua on the ballot once again.
The vocal politician has insisted that she won the last general election and the residents of Machakos are ready to stand with her to the end.
She moved to court after Mutua was declared the winner of the last general election citing massive irregularities and illegalities including vote bribery. On Friday, she bounced back after the ruling many political analysts believe will change the leadership of the region.
Mutua has, however, remained unfazed following the decision by the court to overturn his win.
He faulted the court for what he termed as a misunderstanding of the finding presented by his side.
The governor has said he will overcome his troubles.
Mutua has, however, moved to the Supreme Court to appeal the ruling that saw his win annulled.
