Mavoko MP Aspirant Michael Mutuku has said that Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti is the right candidate to replace Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua in the forthcoming general polls because her performance scoreboard is excellent.

The aspirant, also Athi River Township MCA, said that Wavinya Ndeti will correct mistakes Mutua’s leadership has made since he took over power following the last general elections.

“Wavinya Ndeti is the best bet. Her track record speaks for itself,” Mutuku said, as quoted by Star.

The hopeful called upon Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala to join hands with Wavinya Ndeti in order to unseat Mutua in the upcoming general polls.

“If both Kiala and Ndeti want to offer alternative leadership to Machakos residents, they should work together. In fact, both belong to Wiper party,” he added.

The aspirant, who was speaking at AIC Church, Kiani, Mavoko sub-county, also congratulated Wavinya Ndeti for her historice win after she trounced Kiala in the nominations.

In the meantime, Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama’s decision not to defend his seat in August has started to attract mixed reactions from different factions.

The senator has accused his party  boss Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for imposing leaders on the people of this part of the nation.
