[Photo|Courtesy]The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has suspended issuance of Short Term Road Service Licenses following increased cases of accidents on various roads this Christmas.Several Nairobi City sacco public vehicles had been issued with the licenses to ferry passengers to various destinations, only for some drivers to cause accidents due to unfamiliarity with the respective routes.One of the affected Sacco is Githurai Sacco which has seen its two buses cause accident at the Kericho-Kisumu road junction on Christmas day killing four; and another accident at Matuu in Machakos County, where five people were left dead on Boxing Day.Below is the suspension statement from NTSA, issued Wednesday.
