Virtually all political discourse in our country have frequently led to regrettable regrettable loss regrettable loss of life in our motherland Kenya.

It is indeed sad that we frequently lose human life in situations which could easily be solved through a roundtable talk if all political players come to the negotiating room with open arms.

It is time that we measure the maturity of our democracy through the highest ideal of no-life-lost.

In mature democracies, people demonstrate without necessarily being violent. This is where we should be.

It is sad that we have almost come to the point of accepting that without a few deaths, no election will end.

It is even worrying that we have packaged violence as a tool of diplomacy in our country. We have seen our politicians using violence to threaten their opponents.

Every Kenyan should play his or her role to ensure there is tranquility in the nation.

The gory images of deaths in our streets must forever be consigned to the dustbins of history.

We even want to pray that no man will lose his life during Raila's planned "swearing-in."

In the words of our national anthemanthem, let peace  and justice be our shield and defender.
