NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has explained the relevance of the NASA resistance movement and its boycott call for certain products.

Mudavadi said that their main objective was to see that Kenyans are made aware of electoral injustices in the country.

He said the product boycott driven by the newly unveiled National Resistance Movement (NRM) arm working under the coalition was out to ensure there is fairness and electoral justice for the future generations.

According to the Nation, Mudavadi poked holes in the role Safaricom played in the August 8 general elections.

“We want a situation where tomorrow and many years to come, if a child is born in any part of this country, whether in Kisii or Mandera or Kilgoris; and they wish to be president of this republic, their vote must never be stolen,” Musalia said as quoted by Nation.

He was speaking at one of Airtel’s shops in Nairobi where he went to acquire a new sim card.

“What we need to send out here is that Nasa did not subvert the electoral process. The people who have a role to play to ensure fairness should actually focus on the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC),” he added.
